Restore your smile, confidence, and ability to eat comfortably with custom-made dentures — designed and fitted by Wg Cdr (Dr) Amrita Singh at The Smile Edit in Kalyan Nagar, Bangalore. Complete, partial, and flexible options available.
Losing teeth — whether a few or all of them — affects far more than your appearance. It changes how you eat, how you speak, and often how you feel about yourself in social situations. Many people quietly reduce what they eat, avoid smiling in photos, or stop speaking up in conversations.
Modern dentures are a far cry from the ill-fitting, obvious prosthetics of the past. At The Smile Edit, we design custom dentures that are natural-looking, well-fitted, and as comfortable as possible — so you can get on with your life without thinking about your teeth.
Dentures are custom-made, removable appliances designed to replace missing teeth and the surrounding gum tissue. They are fabricated to match your natural tooth colour, shape, and gum tone — so they look as natural as possible.
Depending on how many teeth are missing and the condition of your remaining natural teeth, we recommend the type of denture that best suits your clinical situation, comfort preferences, and budget. At The Smile Edit, we offer complete, partial, flexible, and implant-supported dentures.
You may benefit from dentures if you:
Not sure which option is right for you? Some patients are better candidates for implants; others for dentures; many benefit from a combination of both. We will assess your situation honestly and walk you through all your options — with no pressure.
Each denture type suits different clinical situations. Here is a clear breakdown:
| Type | Best For | Material |
|---|---|---|
| Complete Dentures — Standard | All teeth missing in upper or lower jaw (or both) | Acrylic base with acrylic teeth |
| Complete Dentures — BPS | Patients wanting superior fit, aesthetics, and chewing efficiency | Biofunctionally optimised acrylic — precision-fabricated using BPS system for a closer natural fit |
| Partial Dentures | Several missing teeth with remaining natural teeth present | Acrylic with metal clasps, or flexible material |
| Flexible Dentures | Partial denture wearers wanting maximum comfort & discretion | Thin, lightweight thermoplastic (gum-coloured) |
| Immediate Dentures | Patients having teeth extracted who need teeth right away | Made before extraction; fitted the same day teeth are removed |
| Implant-Supported Dentures | Patients wanting superior stability with the convenience of removable dentures | Denture anchored to 2–4 dental implants placed in the jaw |
| Dentures with Precision Attachments | Patients wanting a clasp-free, more stable partial denture with a discreet fit | Metal framework with concealed internal attachments — no visible clasps |
Denture costs at The Smile Edit vary based on the type of denture, the number of teeth being replaced, and the material used. We provide a clear written quote after your consultation — no hidden costs.
Final pricing depends on the number of teeth replaced, material choice, and any preparatory treatment required. We will give you a detailed quote in writing after your consultation.
Getting custom dentures typically takes 4–6 appointments over 3–5 weeks. Here is exactly what happens:
We examine your mouth, gums, and any remaining teeth. We discuss your goals, lifestyle, and options, and recommend the right denture type for your situation.
Precise impressions of your mouth are taken. These are sent to the dental laboratory where your custom dentures are fabricated to an exact fit.
We record how your jaw closes and work with you to select the shade and shape of teeth that will look natural and suit your face.
A wax model of your dentures is tested in your mouth so you can see how they will look and feel. Any changes to aesthetics, bite, or shape are made at this stage before final fabrication.
Your completed custom dentures are fitted and carefully adjusted for a comfortable, stable bite. We walk you through care instructions and what to expect in the first few weeks.
One or two follow-up visits in the first few weeks to fine-tune the fit as your mouth adapts. Minor adjustments are a normal and expected part of the process.
👉 No tooth extractions needed in your case? The process is the same, minus the healing time after extractions. If teeth need to come out first, we plan around the healing timeline.
